DMK MLA Arasu tests positive for COVID-19, hospitalised in Chennai

In a tweet on Saturday (June 27), DMK president MK Stalin wished Arasu, who represents the Cheyyur assembly constituency, a quick recovery so that he can carry on with his work.

Besides, K. Palani, a legislator from the ruling AIADMK in Tamil Nadu, is also undergoing treatment for the viral infection at a private hospital.
Tamil Nadu has so far reported a total of 74,622 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 957 deaths, according to the Union health ministry. Currently, there are 32,308 active cases in the state while 41,357 patients have been discharged from hospitals.
