MP by-elections: Congress in talks with Prashant Kishor, confirms MLA
The Madhya Pradesh (MP) Congress is in discussions with political strategist Prashant Kishor to work on a strong campaign in the state for the 24 assembly seat bypolls, confirmed party MLA P.C Sharma today (June 2).
Of the 24 seats, 22 fell vacant when the sitting MLAs quit the assembly as they were supporters of Jyotiraditya Scindia. Scindia joined the BJP, after which many MLAs quit the party. Two seats are still vacant due to the deaths of legislators. No final date has been announced as yet for conducting the by-elections.
Sharma told PTI that they are talking to poll strategist Prashant Kishor for the upcoming bypolls on 24 seats. Kishor would conduct the surveys and help the party in chalking out a political and social media strategy.

Prashant Kishor has also worked with the Congress earlier in MP for assembly elections. He will help the party in selection of candidates and in finalizing political issues.
Senior BJP leader and MLA Rameshwar Sharma shrugged off the development as insignificant saying that the Congress has made false promises to all sections of the society. He added that the BJP is going to win all of the 24 seats as the Congress was highly exposed during its 15-month tenure in MP.
