Hosts CSK are in a must-win situation to keep their playoff hopes alive. The MS Dhoni-led side is languishing at the bottom of the table with just four points from nine games. PBKS are fifth with 11 points from nine matches.
Iyer said Glenn Maxwell is out of the game due to a fractured finger. He added that they haven't decided on who will replace the Australian all-rounder in the squad, indicating that he might be ruled out of the season. Suryansh Shedge has replaced Maxwell for Wednesday's contest.
CSK have retained the same XI for the contest at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
