Can Pakistan clinch a win in 'do or die' match against the Proteas?

When Pakistan lost to India, fans thought it will be the end of their World Cup dreams. However, the squad hasn’t given up on their World Cup dreams and is ready to take on South Africa on Sunday (June 23) at Lord’s in London.

England that has been under covers since long is finally seeing some sunshine, but the weather getting better doesn’t look pleasant to team Pakistan as they are facing trouble with the dry pitch. Having faced three defeats and one washout from five matches, Pakistan are trying to keep their semi-finals hopes alive by hoping to clinch as many victories as possible from their next few matches.

It’s a different day, of course, and South Africa have been in their worst state in this World Cup. This might turn to be an advantage for Sarfaraz and co. as they now need four wins to bounce for the knock-out stages.

Faf duPlessis’ and his squad have certainly fixed their place to be shunted out of the tournament. While, this match is just a formality game for the South African team, it’s a ‘do or die’ match for team Pakistan. With the Proteas being prone to injuries, it won’t surprise fans if another one of their favourite players is seen on the bench today.

A sunny day in London had earlier supported England to be bowled out for 153, helping India score 322. This pitch resembles the fragile batting spells and can change the game in unexpected ways.
