Twitter aflutter after PM Modi’s tweet
Twitter went agog by 11 am on Wednesday after Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted that he will address the nation at 11:45 am.
The PM’s tweet read: “I would be addressing the nation at around 11:45 AM – 12.00 noon with an important message. Do watch the address on television, radio or social media.”
As soon as the Tweet went out, trolls and memes started appearing on social media platforms, indicating a possible announcement akin to the 2016 demonetization. Speculation is rife as to what the PM is to announce, especially in the wake of the NYAY scheme announcement by Rahul Gandhi.
