Time to return to ‘Real Masters’: Prashant Kishor’s cryptic tweet
Political strategist Prashant Kishor on Monday (May 2) posted a cryptic tweet, setting off speculations about his possible return to Bihar politics after his talks with the Congress for the revival of the party fell through.
“My quest to be a meaningful participant in democracy and help shape pro-people policy led to a 10-year rollercoaster ride! As I turn the page, time to go to the Real Masters, THE PEOPLE, to better understand the issues and the path to Jan Suraj – Peoples Good Governance. Starting from Bihar (sic),” he tweeted.

Kishor’s message came after several rounds of discussion with the Gandhis on the rejuvenation of the 135-year-old party failed to materialize into a plan. Kishor, who wanted a free hand in effecting organization changes to the party, declined to join it as a member of a committee for the 2024 general elections after his proposals were not met by the Congress high command.
His tweet on the other hand, hints that he may return to Bihar, his home state in what he calls “to better understand issues.”
Kishore, a member of the JD(U) had quit the party in September 2018 after falling out with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He was expelled from the party in 2020 for “indiscipline”.
The political strategist had recently met Kumar, in February this year, raising speculations about a possible mending of fences and induction. Media reports, however, say Kishore, who plans to tour the state, may not renew his ties with the JD(U) as he has avoided Kumar since his arrival in the state. It is yet to be known if he would join an opposition party or float a new outfit.
