Sonu Sood gifts phones to children who struggled to attend online classes
Actor Sonu Sood has gifted smartphones to students of a government school in a remote village in Haryana after The Indian Express reported that they were travelling several miles to attend online classes as they did not have smartphones.
The actor, in a tweet posted on Wednesday (August 26) said, “A wonderful beginning to my day watching all the students get their smartphones to attend their online classes.”

On August 24, replying to a tweet, Sood promised to provide the students smartphones by the next day. As promised, the students received the smartphones from Sood and his friend Karan Gilhotra, and also got a video call from the actor.
The report that was published on July 26 said most of the residents of Morni village had no smartphones and had to travel to the houses of their friends or relatives to attend online classes amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
