Coronavirus situation: Rahul Gandhi calls Harsh Vardhan Titanic's captain
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday (March 5) said Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan’s reassurances on coronavirus are like the ones made by the captain of the sinking Titanic.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday (March 5) said Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan’s reassurances on coronavirus are like the ones made by the captain of the sinking Titanic.
He said the coronavirus situation should be taken more seriously by the government and the claims that the authorities on top of it were far from real.
The Health Minister saying that the Indian Govt has the #coronavirus crisis under control, is like the Capt of the Titanic telling passengers not to panic as his ship was unsinkable.
It's time the Govt made public an action plan backed by solid resources to tackle this crisis.

The comments came after the Health Minister spoke in both houses of Parliament and told the members that the government had the coronavirus crisis under control.
Rahul Gandhi said the government should create and action plan and share its details and not just make promises.
“It’s time the government made public an action plan backed by solid resources to tackle this crisis,” Rahul Gandhi said.
Rashtriya Loktantrik Party lawmaker Hanuman Beniwal had said in the House that a probe should be ordered to ascertain if the coronavirus is being spread from the ‘home’ of Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
Congress said the comments were uncalled for and the Prime Minister was ‘using leaders like Beniwal’ to launch an attack on the party.
