Protestors shun stones, offer flowers to police in Delhi

The fire and fury of the day saw a flowery turn as protestors offered red rose flowers to policemen during the nationwide stir against the Citizenship Amendment Act on Thursday.

In powerful images which were widely shared in social media, protestors were seen offering roses to police personnel during a brief respite in the protests.

In another goodwill gesture, the police offered refreshments and food to the detained protestors in New Delhi and Bengaluru.

Many protestors were detained after they defied Section 144 imposed by the government to curb opposition against Citizenship Amendment Act. Ever since the legislation received President’s approval, students have been protesting in various cities which were joined by other people.
