Mumbai hospital staff protest death of colleague, allege he wasn't given leave
Employees of Mumbai’s KEM hospital have resorted to protest over the death of a worker posted at the COVID-19 ward of the hospital, who allegedly was not given leave despite being sick.
A Hindustan Times report said, the worker had been unwell for four days and died on Sunday (May 24) night. The protester including medical staff alleged that authorities of the state-run hospital did not give him leave despite his ailing state.
It is yet to be established whether he died of COVID-19.
The protesters have demanded compensation for the family of the deceased staff.
