Mulayam Singh's wife succumbs to prolonged illness
Samajwadi party veteran Mulayam Singh Yadav’s wife Sadhna Gupta passed away on Saturday. She was admitted to Gurugram’s Medanta Hospital after she complained of chest pain four days ago. Sadhna Gupta was suffering from prolonged illness. As per reports, the minister’s wife was suffering from a lung infection.
The Samajwadi Party broke the news of her demise on its official Twitter handle.
As per reports, Gupta was shifted to the intensive care unit after her condition deteriorated.
Offering condolences to the Yadav family, Mamata Banerjee took to Twitter and wrote: “Sadly received the news of the demise of Sadhna Yadav, wife of the elder politician and Samajwadi leader Malayalam Singh Yadav. Sincere condolences to Mulayamji, family, Akhilesh and all well-wishers.”
Sadhna Gupta was Mulayam’s second wife and was reportedly 20 years younger than him. Her son’s name is Prateek Yadav and her daughter-in-law is Aparna Yadav, a BJP leader.

As per reports, her remains are being carried to Lucknow where the final rites will take place.
Gupta was suffering from a prolonged illness and was not responding to medications.
