Family stood 'rock solid' behind Sushant: Sister in rejoinder to Rhea
Actor Rhea Chakraborty’s recent interviews on her relationship with her late boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput and her allegations that his family wasn’t supportive enough, has invited flak from the actor’s elder sister Shweta Singh Kirti who took to Twitter on Friday (August 28) to rebut the charges made against her family.
In a series of angry tweets, Shweta accused Rhea of convincing Sushant that he was psychologically unstable after administering drugs to him.
“You have guts to come on National Media and tarnish the image of my pure brother after his death!! You think God is not watching for what you have done! I believe in God and I have faith, now I really want to see what he will do to you,” Shweta tweeted.
Rhea in interviews to NDTV and India Today on Thursday (August 28) denied all allegations levelled against her in the case – from transferring money worth crores from Sushant’s account to drugging him to taking him away from his family. She instead accused Sushant’s family of abandoning him when she told them that he was suffering from depression.
Rhea also said that the “witchhunt” against her and her family has left them broken.

Rebutting Rhea’s allegations of not supporting Sushant when he was ill, Sweta said if that were the case, she wouldn’t have flown from the US to India in January when she heard that her brother was unwell.
“The worst part was I didn’t even get to meet him coz by the time I reached, bhai had already left Chandigarh because of the constant pestering calls of Rhea and some work commitments. Family was always there standing rock solid for him!!” she tweeted.
Accusing Rhea of drugging her brother, Shweta said Sushant in January had made an SOS call to their sister Rani when he was “drugged, confined and isolated.”
“Soon after he reached Chandigarh there were 25 calls made by Rhea in less than 2-3 day time frame. Why? What was the urgency to call him back!!” she asked.
Meanwhile, Sushant’s former girlfriend Ankita Lokhande with whom he was in a six-year-long relationship before breaking up, on Friday clarified statements made by Rhea against her in the interviews.

Ankita in a social media post rubbished Rhea’s claims that Sushant had first experienced depression in 2013.
“1st of all from beginning till the end me and Sushant were together about 23rd February 2016. He never had any conditions of depression and had visited any psychiatrist. He was totally fine,” she wrote.
The death of the 34-year-old actor who was found hanging in his Bandra apartment on June 14, has been under media and public scrutiny after allegations were made that he didn’t commit suicide, but was murdered. While Sushant’s father has accused Rhea of driving him to suicide, several conspiracy theories floated by fans and colleagues have pointed to the role of Bollywood bigwigs behind his death.
