Another AI flyer ‘urinates’ in front of co-passenger, this time on her blanket
A day after Air India banned a male passenger for urinating on a female co-passenger mid-flight on November 26, a similar incident has been reported from another flight of the same airlines. While the November incident happened on a New York-Delhi flight, the one on December 6 reportedly took place on a Paris-Delhi flight.
A “drunk” male passenger allegedly “urinated” on the blanket of a female passenger but charges were not pressed after the passenger gave a written apology, officials said on Thursday. It was not immediately known which class the passengers were travelling.
This incident happened on Air India flight 142, and the pilot reported the matter to the Air Traffic Control (ATC) at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport. The accused passenger was reportedly apprehended after that.
“Mutual compromise”
The flight landed around 9.40 am at Delhi, and the airport security was informed that the male passenger was “under the influence of alcohol and he was not following the instructions of the cabin crew and he later peed on a blanket of an onboard lady passenger,” airport officials told PTI.

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) apprehended the male passenger as soon as he deboarded the plane. But he was later allowed to leave after the two passengers had a “mutual compromise” and the accused tendered a “written apology,” they said.
The female passenger, who had initially made a written complaint, refused to lodge a police complaint. Hence, the airport security allowed the accused passenger to go after he cleared immigration and customs formalities.
Delhi Police has now registered an FIR in the November incident based on a complaint by the victim to Air India, and has formed several teams to nab the accused.
