Amid violence in Delhi, Brijpuri residents take out a peace march
As the national capital was on the boil over CAA and multiple clashes erupted between pro and anti-CAA groups, a group of Brijpuri residents in Northeast Delhi took out a peace march.
The residents raised slogans and said, “Hindu and Muslim are one. Long live Hindu-Muslim unity. We are all are one and we won’t let the peace of our colony be disturbed.” People from both communities participated in the march.
The optimism I have been desperate for the last 24 hours. 🙂 'Hum apne colony ka mahaul nahi jalne denge.' <3 No activist, no politician- these are the real leaders, people who care about just being allowed to live with peace and dignity. https://t.co/b0JQcs77y6

The death toll in the capital touched nine and the police had stepped up deployment.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal appealed for peace and said people should desist from hate-mongering.
