Exit polls predict absolute majority for Modi-led NDA

As the seventh phase of the elections draws to a close, India eagerly awaits exit polls that are likely to give a fair indication of who will win or if there will be a hung Parliament. From today to Thursday (May 23), the results of the exit polls will set off a flurry of activity aimed at cobbling up alliances in case a hung Parliament is predicted. Exit polls have gone spectacularly wrong sometimes and the losers would be hoping that is indeed the case.
