There will be an air show from the Surya Kiran aerobatic team of the IAF before the World Cup 2023 final between India and Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday (November 19).

During the innings break, all the World Cup-winning captains will be honoured by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). They will be felicitated with a special blazer.


As India and Australia battle it out in the middle for the World Cup 2023 trophy in Ahmedabad on Sunday (November 19), apart from cricket, fans will get to witness a series of events at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

The World Cup 2023 final will begin at 2 PM IST and it will be watched by more than 1 lakh spectators at the stadium.

Here are all the details of the events scheduled during and before the World Cup 2023 final.

1. IAF's Surya Kiran aerobatic team's 'salute from the skies'

With the coin toss scheduled at 1:30 PM, soon after that, the Indian Air Force's (IAF) Surya Kiran aerobatic team will do a 'salute from the skies'.

The 15-minute airshow from 1:35 PM to 1:50 PM will see nine hawks from the Surya Kiran aerobatic team enthralling the fans. The flights will take off from Ahmedabad airport and will do a vertical airshow above Narendra Modi Stadium.

2. Aditya Gadhvi performance

Gujarat's playback singer and lyricist Aditya Gadhvi will perform during the 1st innings drinks break.

3. Pritam and 500 dancers

During the innings break, Pritam Chakraborty, Jonita Gandhi, Nakash Aziz, Amit Mishra, Akasa Singh and Tushar Joshi will perform and there will be 500 dancers.

4. Parade of Champions

During the innings break, all the World Cup-winning captains will be honoured by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). They will be felicitated with a special blazer.

5. Laser and light show

A laser and light show will be conducted during the 2nd innings’ 2nd drinks break (around 8:30 PM).

6. Crowning of champions with 1,200 drones

“A first in any sporting event, the crowning of champions from the sky with 1,200 drones creating magic in the night sky - with the first ever aerial Champions board,” says an ICC document.
