Curtains came down on the ICC World Cup 2023 in Ahmedabad on Sunday night (November 19) as Australia were crowned the world champions at the Narendra Modi Stadium in front of over 1 lakh spectators.

This was Australia’s record-extending sixth ODI World Cup title. Their previous trophies were in 1987, 1999, 2003, 2007, 2015. Pat Cummins is the fifth Australian captain to win the ODI World Cup trophy after Allan Border (1987), Steve Waugh (1999), Ricky Ponting (2003, 2007) and Michael Clarke (2015).
