India vs Pakistan, World Cup | Rohit Sharma gives '99%' update on Shubman Gill

Gill had to miss India's opening two World Cup games against Australia and Afghanistan due to dengue.

India captain Rohit Sharma has provided a positive update on opening batsman Shubman Gill ahead of the big India versus Pakistan in the ICC World Cup 2023 in Ahmedabad.

As India are set to face Pakistan at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Saturday (October 13), in the pre-match press conference, Rohit was asked about Gill and this is what he had to say. "99 per cent he (Gill) is available, we'll see tomorrow (Saturday) about that."

Gill had to miss India's opening two World Cup games against Australia and Afghanistan due to dengue. On Friday, he had a net session in Ahmedabad. He also practiced on Friday evening.

In Gill's absence, Ishan Kishan opened the batting with Rohit.

If Gill is fit to play against Pakistan, then Kishan will make way for him.
