Workers at Ford's Chennai plant go on strike

More than 2,000 workers are on strike at automaker Fords plant here leading to halting of production at the facility since May 30, sources said on Thursday.

The workers are demanding better compensation. “We have been on strike since Monday and there has been no production at the unit since then. We have asked for a better compensation package which the management is not willing to accept…,” a workers union official told
