Maha adds 3,959 new COVID-19 cases; 150 die, 6,748 recover

Maharashtra on Saturday reported3,959 fresh COVID-19 cases, taking the total count to17,14,273, state health department said.

With 150 fatalities, the cumulative toll in the stateclimbed to 45,115.

A total of 6,748 patients were discharged in the day,taking the tally of recoveries to 15,69,090, a health officialsaid, adding that the number of active cases decreased from 1lakh to 99,151.

Mumbai reported 576 new infections in the day and 23fatalities.

With this, the cumulative case tally in the city roseto 2,63,049, while the death toll mounted to 10,422, theofficial added.
