
BSF hands over 4 Bangladeshis to BGB
Four Bangladeshi nationals wereapprehended by BSF near the international border in WestBengals Nadia district and handed over to Border GuardBangladesh (BGB) as a humanitarian gesture, a statement by thecountrys paramilitary force said on Tuesday.
The Bangladeshis told BSF, they had been working inBurdwan town as labourers and wanted to reunite with theirfamily in their native village, the statement said.
The four persons, including two children, wereapprehended while trying to cross over to the neighbouringcountry near Noonaganj outpost on Monday morning, thestatement said.
Adopting a goodwill gesture, BSF approached BGB, helda Flag Meeting with BGB Commander of Benipur post and thenhanded over the family to the Border Guard Bangladesh toenable the persons go back to their native place.
