
6 test positive for corona in Mizoram
At least six people, includingthree children aged between 1 and 11 years, have testedpositive for novel coronavirus in Mizoram taking the statestally to 4,419, a health department official said on Friday.
Of the six fresh cases, 4 cases were reported fromAizawl district and one each from Champhai and Saitualdistricts, he said.
While one patient had returned from Manipur, theremaining four have no travel history, he said.
Three patients have developed symptoms of Covid-19,while the rest three were asymptomatic.
According to the official, the number of active casesnow stands at 27, while 4,382 people have already recoveredfrom the virus.
The recovery rate is 99.17 per cent, he said.
The COVID-19 toll in the state is 10.
The state has also tested 2,30,420 samples till date,including 995 on Thursday.
Of the total 4,419 cases, Aizawl district reported thehighest at 2,894, followed by Lunglei district, which reported418 cases.
With 20 cases Hnahthial district reported the least.
A total 20,955 people, including 9,608 frontlineworkers have been administered the first dose of COVID-19vaccine till Thursday, the official said.
