Ranveer Singh buys ₹119 crore apartment next to SRK's Mannat

In one of the most expensive deals for a single residential apartment, Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh purchased a ₹119-crore sea-view luxury quadruplex in Mumbai’s Bandra. The property, which was was sold at ₹1 lakh per sq ft, is located between Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence in Galaxy and Shah Rukh Khan’s bungalow Mannat.

In 2021, Ranveer and his wife Deepika Padukone, had purchased a bungalow in Alibag for ₹22 crore.

Singh bought this apartment in a super-premium residential tower Sagar Resham on Bandstand in the posh area of Bandra in Mumbai. His apartment comprises the 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th floor of the tower, and has a total 11,266 sq ft of carpet area and a 1,300 sq ft exclusive terrace. As part of the deal, Singh will get exclusive access to a total 19 car parking slots in the building.

The deal was made through Oh Five Oh Media Works LLP, a company in which Singh and his father Jugjeet Sunder Singh Bhavnani are directors. They have paid total stamp duty worth ₹7.13 crore for the transaction executed through two separate agreements, said reports.

According to documents accessed by Indextap.com, the agreements for the transaction between Singh and seller Enorm Nagpal Realty LLP were registered on Friday, July 8.

Despite a spike in interest rate and withdrawal of lower stamp duty benefit, property registration in Mumbai has continued its record-setting spree by scaling a new peak in June.

In June, the city of Mumbai, India’s financial capital, recorded over 9,919 property registrations. It has gone up 26 per cent from a year ago to ₹733 crore, marking a new high for June both in terms of number of deals and stamp duty collection.

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh, whose last film Jayeshbhai Jordhaar flopped at the box-office, has Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani with Alia Bhatt, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi and Dharmendra and Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus. In this film, he plays a double role for the first time. His show, Ranveer Vs Wild with Bear Grylls, is also currently streaming on Netflix.
