Marvel to spread its superhero magic on Disney+
San Diego Comic-Con marked the entry of Marvel Studios on the upcoming online-streaming channel Disney+. The Russo Brothers announced four new stand-alone television series for the iconic Marvel characters and the first animated series too.
The Falcon and the Winter Solider will be the first one to be released on the yet-to-be launched streaming website in fall 2020. Let’s have a look at what all surprises are awaiting for the superhero fans.
The Falcon and the Winter Solider
In the conclusion of Endgame, Captain America, played by Chris Evans was seen getting old and giving his shield to the Falcon, Anthony Mackie. This means that he is the new Captain America and the fans cannot expect the return of Evans. Sebastian Stan being the Winter Solider would play his part with his metal arm gifted to him by Black Panther during his recovery period in Wakanda.

The Falcon will now feature with his new metal shield and most probably a new suit too. But what’s exciting in this plot is the return of bad guy Baron Zemo, played by Daniel Bruhl, who made his appearance in Captain America: Civil War (2016) as the main antagonist after his he was assumed to have died along with his family in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Baron Zemo made his an appearance as a cameo villain in Black Panther (2018) and will now be coming back as the main threat to the world in “The Falcon and the Winter Solider” which is set to release in fall 2020 on Disney+.
WandaVision
The romance between Wanda and Vision has been overpowered since long and crossed boundaries in Avengers: Endgame. Fans saw vision being killed for the Mind Stone by Wanda, however, it is being said that Elizabeth Olsen (Wanda) and Paul Bettany (Vision) will both star in “WandaVision”.

The plot will be a television series that will hit Disney+ in spring 2021, although there is no speculation as to when and how Vision will be resurrected. According to Comicbook.com, the action might be set up in 1950s to 1960s.
Interestingly, Teyonah Parris will play the grown-up Monica Rambeau, introduced in Captain Marvel.
Loki
No matter how evil or notorious, the god of mischief Loki might be, he still remains the favourite of all Thor movie fans. He is like that x-factor that drives the movies forward with his mischievous deeds.

The fans are going to be thrilled when the much-awaited stand-alone television series for “Loki” will release in spring 2021 on Disney+.
Tom Hiddleston will be back to play Loki and finally the suspense will end as to where did Loki fly away with the Space Stone which he stole at the end of Endgame. The movie will become all the more interesting if the studios reveal how Asgard acquired the tesseract in the first place and Space Stone out of it.

“What if…?” is the first animated series from MCU which will release on Disney+ in 2021 summer. Anthony Russo and Joe Russo – the Russo Brothers – have not revealed any other detail about it but there is a lot to watch out for with Jeffery Wright voicing The Watcher and many other iconic characters will be voiced by other Marvel Cinematic Universe stars.
Hawkeye
Jeremy Renner, the ever famous Hawkeye, will be back playing his character in his stand-alone TV series scheduled to release on Disney+ in fall 2021.

Hawkeye who was devastated by Black Widow’s death in Endgame and left the Avengers all over again, could see a replacement from Kate Bishop who will be introduced on the show, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
Hawkeye is one of the real Avengers and he deserved a stand-alone which now he’s getting.
2023 is when Marvel Cinematic Universe chronologically concludes the superhero universe. So, not just this but the fans can expect many more such television series along with movies.
