Mahesh Babu bumps into Bill Gates in New York, has a fan moment
Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu, who is currently on a holiday with his wife Namrata Shirodkar and his two children, in New York, shared on Instagram a picture they had clicked with Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, who they seem to have met accidentally. The picture has gone viral.
On Wednesday (June 29), Mahesh Babu describing Gates as ‘one of the greatest visionaries’ who is very humble, posted the picture of his wife and him along with the American business magnate on Instagram. The picture showed a smiling Bill Gates standing in-between Mahesh Babu and Namrata Shirodkar.
Mahesh Babu captioned the picture by saying, “Had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Bill Gates! One of the greatest visionaries this world has seen… and yet the most humble! Truly an inspiration!!”

Since May, Mahesh Babu and Namrata Shirodkar have been holidaying in Europe and the US with their children – daughter Sitara Ghattamaneni and son Gautham Ghattamaneni. They are currently in the US, and from the picture that Mahesh Babu posted on his Instagram page, it looks like the couple bumped into Bill Gates at a restaurant.

Mahesh Babu, whose most recent film, Sarkaru Vaari Paata was a box-office hit raking in ₹200 crore, has been periodically posting pictures of his holiday with his family. Earlier on Monday, he had shared a romantic photo from New York, in which, Mahesh and Namrata were seen posing together on a busy street.
Sharing the picture, Mahesh wrote: “Summer nights… city lights.” His wife commented saying that it was one of the best nights they’ve had. Her sister, actor Shilpa Shirodkar, dropped heart emojis on the couple’s photo.
Mahesh Babu’s holiday has been captured on the couple’s Instagram pages as they have shared several pictures from their Europe holiday in Switzerland, France, and Italy, among other places. From Milan, Mahesh Babu shared a cute family picture and wrote, “n the here and now! Making memories.. one day at a time!” and added the hashtag “My Tribe” along with a string of red heart emojis.

Mahesh Babu and Namrata Shirodkar dated for several years before they got married in 2005. The Telugu superstar started his career as a child artist during the 1980s and has starred in films like Yuvaraju, Vamsi, Naani, Bharat Ane Nenu, Maharshi and Sarileru Neekevvaru. He created a stir recently when in the middle of the Bollywood vs south cinema controversy, the actor made a remark that he is too busy to make a Hindi film and anyway, Bollywood cannot afford him. This statement did not go down well with the Bollywood movie moghuls.
