'PM Modi attends Amit Shah's presser': Twitter cracks up
Narendra Modi addressed his first-ever press conference as prime minister in his five-year tenure on May 17, but didn’t take any questions from reporters. He instead directed them to BJP president Amit Shah. The PM, however, briefed the reporters and said “the people of the country have decided that a BJP government will be formed. “I hope that the new government will start functioning at the earliest,” PM Narendra Modi said.
While PM Modi has been repeatedly criticised by Congress president Rahul Gandhi and other opposition leaders for not addressing a single press conference since he took the top job, Twitter wasn’t particularly impressed with today’s press meet. This is how many, including the Congress president , reacted on Twitter.
Congratulations Modi Ji. Excellent Press Conference! Showing up is half the battle. Next time Mr Shah may even allow you to answer a couple of questions. Well done! ?
