JEE Main result 2022 (Session 1): 14 get 100 percentile; toppers list out
The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the results of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Mains 2022) session one on its official website on Monday (July 11).
The testing agency has activated a direct link for candidates to check the result online. Guwahati’s Sneha Pareek is one of the toppers with a perfect score of 300/300 in JEE Mains 2022. Fourteen students have scored 100 percentile.
Of the 14 students who secured 100 percentile in JEE Main session 1, four are from Telangana, followed by Andhra Pradesh (3). Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Jharkhand, Punjab and Karnataka have one each, a Hindustan Times report said.
The results of the engineering test were announced after the NTA released the JEE Main Final Answer Key for Session 1 papers of B.Arch, B.Planning, B.E and B.Tech. The test agency’s scorecard is for session one of the papers was held between June 23 and 29.

Candidates can now see results on three websites – jeemain.nta.nic.in, ntaresults.nic.in and nta.ac.in. Students can download the result card using their application number and date of birth.

In order to download the result card, a candidate has to follow the steps below:
- Visit one of the websites mentioned above
- On the home page, click the link that reads ‘JEE Main 2022 result’
- On the redirected page, fill in one’s login details including application number and date of birth
- The candidate will then be able to see the results on the display
- Candidates can download the result card and get it printed for future reference.

For the entrance test, candidates from the general category are required to gain a minimum percentage of 75% to qualify for the test while the qualifying percentage for candidates from SC/ST/PWD and other categories is 65%.
Session two of the JEE Mains will be held from July 21 to July 30.
The final cut-off for the JEE Advanced 2022 will be released by the NTA once the session 2 exams for JEE Main 2022 conclude in July.
As per reports, over 7 lakh candidates have appeared for the entrance test and all those with 100 percentile scores will come in JEE toppers.
The JEE (Main) comprises two papers. The test is conducted for admission to undergraduate engineering courses at NITs, IITs and other government-funded technical institutes. The test is also an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced). Top 2.5 lakh rank holders under JEE Mains result will be eligible to sit for JEE Advanced Exam 2022.
The JEE (Main) – 2022 will be conducted in two sessions for students to get another opportunity to qualify for the test if they fail in the first attempt.

Among the participating institutes in the entrance test are 31 National Institutes of Technology (NITs), 25 Indian Institute of Information Technology (IITs), 28 centrally-funded technical colleges and others.
