Ketan murder accused’s father: ‘My son is innocent, I had never seen Siya’
Chetan’s father, Babulal Chaudhary, said he did not know whether his son and Siya were having an affair
The father of the accused in Pune realtor Ketan Agarwal’s murder case has claimed that his son Chetan Chaudhary is “innocent” and is “falsely framed”.
Chetan’s father, Babulal Chaudhary, alleged that Ketan’s fiancée Siya Goyal is trying to frame his son in the case to save herself. He also stated that he had not seen Siya before and saw her for the first time at the police station.
He said he did not know whether his son and Siya were having an affair.
‘Never seen Siya before’
"We have never seen the girl in question and know absolutely nothing about her. In fact, I only found out about her name, Siya, yesterday... I have never seen her before. I saw her for the first time at the police station," Babulal, who owns a grocery shop, told ANI news agency on Wednesday (June 24).

“He is being falsely framed and has no involvement in this matter. He clearly told us that he did not push the boy and was standing far away. The girl was the one standing right there when the boy fell. I do not know whether she pushed him or not, but Chetan mentioned that he was standing a little further back…The police have informed us that this is a minor issue and is actually a case of fraud. They assured us they would release the child to us within two hours…,” he added.
Lawyer says Chetan has been implicated
Chetan's lawyer Ram Shahane said his client had been implicated in the case.
"The FIR does not specifically describe his role in the alleged offence. It merely states that he is the boyfriend of the main accused, and on that basis, he has been implicated in the case. We raised the same pleading during the first remand, at the time of his first production before the court," he said.
