Telangana | KTR accuses Revanth of tapping phones of own ministers, Opposition leaders
“If Revanth has the courage, let him take a lie detector test with me and publicly deny his involvement in wiretapping,” he challenged
BRS working president KT Rama Rao has accused Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of tapping the phone conversations of Opposition leaders and his own ministers.
KTR rejected the Congress allegations of BRS involvement in phone-tapping and irregularities in the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme (KLIS). He also threw a challenge to the chief minister to prove his claims and also dared him to take a lie detector test before the media to prove he was not engaging in phone tapping. He alleged that Revanth’s government was also tapping phones of the Congress leaders. “If Revanth has the courage, let him take a lie detector test with me and publicly deny his involvement in wiretapping.”

Slams Rahul Gandhi
Referring to Revanth Reddy's alleged involvement in the “vote-for-note” scandal, where he was allegedly caught with Rs 50 lakh allegedly intended to buy a legislator, KTR wondered, “How someone with such a record of unethical actions could speak against us.”
He dubbed the Congress accusations against the BRS even after coming to power as mere diversion tactics to cover up its failures to deliver on poll promises including the six guarantees within first 100 days.
KTR also questioned Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s inconsistency, pointing out that while the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha often speaks of justice, equality, and the Constitution in Delhi, he remains silent on the actions of the Congress-led government against marginalised communities in Telangana. He also urged Rahul to prioritise protecting Telangana's vulnerable communities from the Congress-led "bulldozer raj" that threatens the poor.
Flays calls for population growth
Meanwhile, the BRS leader also condemned calls for population growth in the southern states, contending that expensive education and healthcare as well as lack of conducive atmosphere and support system for women, were deterring the middle-class from having more children.

“Before asking people to have more kids, the governments should improve infrastructure in cities like Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Chennai, where daily life struggles deter families from expanding,” he said. It was a personal choice of couples, especially women, he added.
On apprehensions of southern states losing Lok Sabha seats due to delimitation, KTR suggested that all political parties should fight together and convince the Centre not to penalise them for effective population control which was encouraged by the Centre itself.
