Senthil Balaji moves bail plea in Madras HC, to be heard on Wednesday

Balaji's bail petition has been rejected twice by a local court

Tamil Nadu minister V Senthil Balaji on Tuesday (October 10) approached the Madras High Court seeking bail.

Senior counsel NR Elango appeared for Balaji before Justice G Jayachandran and requested the court to take up the matter early. The judge said he would take up the bail application for a hearing on Oct 11. Balaji was arrested on June 14 by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with a money laundering case linked with a cash-for-jobs scam when he was transport minister during an AIADMK regime earlier.

His bail petitions were dismissed twice by a local court.
