Bengaluru techie dies after jumping from seventh floor of PG accommodation
Police said the woman with a 30-year-old man went to the seventh floor of a Co-Live PG on ECC Road and allegedly jumped from there
Bengaluru, Aug 30 (PTI) A 23-year-old woman died after allegedly jumping from the seventh floor of a paying guest accommodation in Whitefield here along with a 30-year-old man on Sunday, police said.
The man survived, but sustained multiple injuries and was shifted to a hospital, they said.
The deceased was identified as Janani, a software engineer working with a private company in Pattandur Agrahara. She hailed from Puducherry and was staying at a PG accommodation on ECC Road in Whitefield, police said.
The injured man was identified as Manichavelu, who worked for a logistics company in Puducherry and resides in Nallathur in the Union Territory, they said.
According to police, the two went to the seventh floor of a Co-Live PG on ECC Road and allegedly jumped from there.
The woman died on the spot, while the man sustained multiple injuries and was subsequently shifted to a hospital. After receiving information from locals, police reached the spot and sent the woman's body for a post-mortem examination.
Police said they are trying to ascertain the motive behind the incident and are verifying the backgrounds of the two -- whether they knew each other or were in a relationship. PTI
