Radha Gayatri, 27, found dead under mysterious circumstances while vacationing with husband at Mussoorie homestay; police await autopsy report
A woman from Gurugram died mysteriously while holidaying with her husband in Uttarakhand early on Monday (June 15).
The 27-year-old woman, identified as P Radha Gayatri, had put up at the homestay on Mussoorie-Dhanolti road with her husband, Soumya Sricharan. Both are IT workers. While Gayatri lived in Delhi’s Kidwai Nagar East and worked at a firm in Gurugram, Sricharan is employed in Pune.

According to what Sricharan told the police, the couple left Delhi for Rishikesh on Saturday (June 13), and arrived at the Kiana Homestay in Tipridhar late on Sunday. They checked into a room named ‘Bliss’ around 11.30 pm, drank alcohol, and went to sleep only around 3.30 am on Monday.
Mysterious death
Sricharan has reportedly claimed that when he woke up in the morning, he found Gayatri lying naked and unresponsive in a puddle of urine, with blood oozing from her nose.
The Mussoorie police initially received information about an unresponsive woman at the homestay. An ambulance was called, and a pharmacist attached to the ambulance service declared Gayatri dead.

“The body was found on the floor without clothes, and bloodstains were observed on the bedsheet. Two empty liquor bottles and food items were recovered from the room,” the police said in a statement.
Police’s request
The body has been sent to Coronation Hospital in Dehradun for a post-mortem. The police have requested that the autopsy be conducted by a panel of doctors, under camera. “Things will become clear only after the post-mortem report is received,” Circle Officer Manoj Aswal told news agency PTI.
Aswal also said Gayatri’s parents have been informed and they are expected to arrive from Visakhapatnam late on Tuesday. The couple got married on November 8, 2025, and both originally belong to Visakhapatnam, the police said.
