The Delhi High Court recently stayed Jawaharlal Nehru University’s (JNU) decision to terminate the services of Professor and Congress MP Angomcha Bimol Akoijam, observing that he had not been issued a notice before his dismissal. The development came amid a wider controversy surrounding the sexual misconduct allegations against him, the university’s inquiry process and the political reactions to the case.
