A 30-year-old judge was found dead at his residence in south Delhi, with police suspecting suicide after his body was recovered from the bathroom of his Green Park home.
The deceased has been identified as Aman Kumar Sharma, son of Prem Kumar Sharma, who was serving as Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) in North-East Delhi at Karkardooma Court.
According to Delhi Police sources, a PCR call was received at Safdarjung Enclave police station at around 1.45 pm on Saturday. The call was made by Shivam, the brother-in-law of the deceased and a resident of Defence Colony. “My brother has died by suicide in the bathroom at home,” he informed the police, as per sources.

Preliminary findings suggest that Sharma died by suicide, reportedly by hanging. Police said no evidence of foul play has been found so far, though all possible angles are being investigated.
The body has been taken into custody and sent for postmortem examination. Officials are also questioning family members and close associates to reconstruct the sequence of events.
Sharma had joined the Delhi Judicial Service on June 19, 2021. He obtained his law degree from Symbiosis Law School, Pune, in 2018.
During his career, he dealt with multiple criminal and civil cases across different courts. Since October 2025, he had been posted as full-time Secretary at the DLSA in Karkardooma Court for the North-East district.
Police said the exact cause behind the suspected suicide remains unclear. The investigation is ongoing and further details are awaited.
