Delhi: Faced with sexual abuse, 14-year-old boy murders tutor; arrested

The 28-year-old tutor had allegedly recorded an intimate video with the boy and used it to blackmail and sexually assault his pupil

The Delhi Police on Friday (September 1) arrested a 14-year-old boy for reportedly killing his tutor. The tutor, who was 28 years old, had allegedly sexually assaulted the boy multiple times and even recorded one of the assaults. The boy was taken into custody on Friday, three days after he allegedly sought revenge by using a sharp weapon to kill the tutor.

According to South East Delhi DCP Rajesh Deo, on August 30th, a call was made to the police reporting blood coming from a room on the second floor of a house in Batla House, Jamia Nagar, and the room was found to be open at around 2:15 pm.

When the police arrived at the scene, they discovered the man's body on the floor with severe neck injuries. The tutor had been living with his family in Zakir Nagar, as per a senior police officer.

A murder case was immediately registered, and an investigation was launched. In the initial inquiry, it was revealed that the tutor was allegedly involved in a homosexual relationship with the boy, which began about two months ago.

During this time, the tutor had sexually abused the boy repeatedly. Moreover, he had recorded an intimate video of the boy and used it to blackmail him. The man would threaten to share the video on social media if the boy didn't comply with his demands, the police said.

On the day of the incident, after receiving a call from his tutor to meet at his Jamia Nagar residence, the boy reportedly arrived with a sharp paper cutter. He then allegedly slit the man's throat before running from the scene.

The one-room apartment where the body was discovered belonged to the man's family. It was a rented property that had been vacated by a tenant only a few days before the incident, according to the police.
