‘Chhattisgarhia is not afraid’: Baghel accepts Amit Shah’s debate challenge
The chief minister in a post on X said that the public had already prepared the stage and asked the Union Home Minister to announce the date and time for the debate
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel picked up the gauntlet by accepting Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s challenge to have a debate about the work done by Baghel during the past five years in Chhattisgarh versus Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s achievements in the past 15 years.
The Congress chief minister tweeted a picture of a black sofa with the names of Bhupesh Baghel and Amit Shah pasted on it.
“You have not yet mentioned the stage, date, and time of the debate, but the public has already prepared the stage. Please announce the date and time,” Baghel posted on X.
Amit Shah had thrown the challenge to Baghel during a campaign speech in the Pandaria assembly constituency in Chhattisgarh.
Earlier, on Sunday (November 5), Baghel had posted on X, “There should be a debate on your scandal of 15 years and our work of 5 years. Chhattisgarhia is not afraid, will wait for your reply.”
20 constituencies are going to the polls in the first phase of polling in Chhattisgarh on Tuesday (November 7), and polling for the remaining seats will be on November 17. The counting of votes will be on December 3.
