Only ‘check-ups’: Ratan Tata dismisses ICU admission report as ‘rumour’

Ratan Tata says he’s undergoing check-ups due to age and related medical conditions and requests public and media to “refrain from spreading misinformation”

Well known industrialist, philanthropist and former chairperson of Tata Sons, Ratan Naval Tata, on Monday (October 7) dismissed the reports of his hospitalisation as "rumours".

Earlier, the 86-year-old was reported to have been rushed to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital.

Nothing serious

However, Tata soon posted on Instagram that he was only “undergoing medical check-ups due to age and related medical conditions”.

“I am aware of recent rumors circulating regarding my health and want to assure everyone that these claims are unfounded. I am currently undergoing medical check-ups due to my age and related medical conditions,” he posted.

“There is no cause for concern. I remain in good spirits and request that the public and media respect refrain from spreading misinformation,” he added in the post.
