'Any Pak misadventure will be met with unprecedented and decisive action': Rajnath
Rajnath Singh warns Pakistan of decisive action, says Operation Sindoor continues, highlights India’s anti-terror stance and energy preparedness.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday (April 2) warned Pakistan, stating that any kind of misadventure on its part would be met with “unprecedented and decisive” action from India. He further stated that Operation Sindoor was not over yet, adding that any “mischief” from across the border would receive an “unprecedented” response from the Indian military.
"Our neighbour, in the current situation, can commit any misadventure. If it does so, India's action will be unprecedented and decisive," said Singh.
Warning of ‘unprecedented action’
Speaking at the Veer Sainik Samman in Thiruvananthapuram, the Defence Minister further stated that following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India brought Pakistan to its knees within just 22 minutes during Operation Sindoor.

"After the terrorist incident in Pahalgam, Indian soldiers brought Pakistan to its knees in just 22 minutes during 'Operation Sindoor'. This was the biggest operation against terrorism in Indian Military History so far," he said as quoted by ANI.
“This operation has not been closed yet. If any mischief is carried out from across the border, not only will a befitting response be given, but there will be unprecedented action," he added.
Slams Congress on response to terror
Criticising the Congress over its response to terrorism when it was in power at the Centre, Singh alleged that at that time, the government’s response to a terrorist attack was limited to sending "thick dossiers" to the perpetrators on which no action was taken.

"If I just talk about terrorism here, then you remember how the situation was when the Congress-led UPA Government was in power? Day in and day out, there would be a terrorist incident in some part or the other of the country, or news of Bomb Blasts in cities would come. What was the government's response at that time? Thick dossiers were handed over, on which no action was taken," said Singh.
On Modi govt’s approach to terror
Elaborating further, he said that under the current NDRA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has zero tolerance for terrorism and has delivered a massive blow to it through military operations like Operation Sindoor.
"Whether it was the surgical strike after the 'Uri attack', the air strike carried out after 'Pulwama', or the 'Operation Sindoor' conducted after the recent 'Pahalgam' incident, we have delivered a powerful blow against terrorism," said Singh.
West Asia concerns
As for the ongoing West Asia conflict and the resulting energy security concern, the Defence Minister said that there is "no dearth of fuel or gas in the country" and India was ready to deal with any energy crisis resulting from the ongoing West Asia conflict.
