Priyanka strongly condemned the poster on social media depicting her brother and former Congress president Rahul Gandhi with a beard and with seven heads, portraying him as the mythical character Ravana.
In her tweet in Hindi, Priyanka attacked PM Modi and JP Nadda, the president of the BJP, “Most respected @narendramodi ji and @JPNadda, to what level of degradation do you want to take politics and debate? Do you agree with the violent and provocative tweets being posted from the official twitter handle of your party? Not much time passed and you took a vow of uprightness. Have you forgotten oaths like promises?”
A poster war broke out on social media on Thursday (October 5) between the BJP and the Congress.
The Biggest Liar
The Congress fired the first salvo on X with a picture of PM Modi with the caption, “The Biggest Liar” and another referring to him as the “Jumla Boy”.
The BJP reacted strongly with a tweet from its official handle with a picture of Rahul Gandhi with seven heads and the caption, “Bharat Khatre Mein Hai - A Congress party production. Directed by George Soros”. “The new age Ravan is here. He is Evil. Anti Dharma. Anti Ram. His aim is to destroy Bharat.”
This is probably a foretaste of what can be expected in the coming months as political tensions rise and campaigning intensifies leading up to the assembly elections in five states this year and the Lok Sabha elections next year.
