Gas well blaze will be doused in a week: Andhra official
The gas well blaze near the Irusumanda village in Dr B R Ambedkar Konaseema district will be doused in a week's time, an official said on Tuesday, citing information from ONGC officials. A massive jet fire of up to 20 metres height and 25 metres width erupted around 12.40 pm on January 5 near Mori and Irusumanda villages after a gas leak at an Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC)-owned well, Mori-5, whose intensity has been reduced now.

Michael Reagan, son of former US President Ronald Reagan, dies
Michael Reagan, the eldest son of former US President Ronald Reagan and a conservative commentator, has died. He was 80.
The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute announced his death in a post on X on Tuesday, calling him “a steadfast guardian of his father's legacy.” “Michael Reagan lived a life shaped by conviction, purpose, and an abiding devotion to President Reagan's ideals,” the foundation said.
His cause of death was not immediately announced.

Trump says US will get 30-50 m barrels of oil from Venezuela at market price
US President Donald Trump has said on his social media site that “Interim Authorities” in Venezuela would be providing 30 million to 50 million barrels of “High Quality” oil to the US at its market price. The announcement on Tuesday came after officials in Caracas announced that at least 24 Venezuelan security officers were killed in the dead-of-night US military operation to capture Nicolás Maduro and spirit him to the United States to face drug charges.
