Sanjay Raut seeks answers after Ajit Pawar plane crash

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut on Thursday called for a thorough and transparent investigation into the charter plane crash that killed Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, saying the public deserved clear answers.

Referring to past aviation incidents, Raut said serious accidents involving chartered aircraft had occurred earlier as well. “Such a major accident occurred in Ahmedabad. An investigation was launched, but has anything come to light?” he asked, adding that many lives had been lost in similar crashes, reported ANI.

Describing Pawar as a “towering” and widely respected leader, Raut said his death had shaken not just Maharashtra but the entire country. “Yesterday, he died in a plane crash. Not only Maharashtra, but the entire country is in shock,” he said.

Raut questioned what led to the tragedy, asking whether there was a technical fault, a radar issue, or a lapse at the airport. “What will be achieved by sending condolences?” he asked, insisting that if technical failures were involved, “we all need to identify the root causes.”
