Amit Shah authorised attacks on Sikh separatists in Canada: Report

The report said Shah's alleged involvement in attacks on Sikhs in Canada was shared by top Canadian officials with national security advisor Ajit Doval in Singapore on October 12

Home Minister Amit Shah and a senior RAW official allegedly 'authorised intelligence-gathering missions and attacks' on Sikh separatists in Canada, reported Washington Post, quoting from a conversation between top Canadian officials and the Indian government.

According to the report, top Canadian security and foreign ministry officials shared this information about Shah's alleged involvement with India's national security advisor Ajit Doval in Singapore on October 12.
It is not clear what these references are alluding to nor whether they are accurate. News reports said that it is likely that Canadian investigators tried to interrogate Indian diplomats to get more information about the involvement of the individuals whose names had cropped up in intercepted communications.
Meanwhile, six diplomats, including the Indian high commissioner, have been termed persona non grata and expelled from Canada after India refused to lift their diplomatic immunity. The Indian government has said that it is withdrawing its diplomats for their own safety and also ordered the expulsion of six Canadian diplomats.
The ministry of external affairs or home ministry has not responded to the Washington Post story alleging Canada's charge of Shah’s involvement. Doval, however, has made it clear that India “would deny any link to the Nijjar murder and any link to any other violence in Canada no matter what the evidence was.”
Canada is going aggressive with Prime Minister Justine Trudeau claiming that the police has “clear and compelling evidence” that "agents of the Government of India have engaged in and continue to engage in activities that pose a significant threat to public safety, including clandestine information gathering techniques, coercive behaviour targeting South Asian Canadians, and involvement in over a dozen threatening and violent acts, including murder.”
India has called the Canadian allegations of Indian involvement “preposterous”.
In the latest development, in a press conference, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) chief accused the Indian government of using the services of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang to conduct killings in Canada. Bishnoi, who is currently in jail in Gujarat, is reportedly running his operations from there.
