Yashaswinee Raje Singh, who is a content creator, has voiced support for the Gen Z-driven agitation over the NEET-UG 2026 paper-leak scandal.

The stir lasted over a month — from June 20 to July 25 — winding down only after minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigned and authorities caved in to the students' other demands. Yashaswinee wasn't just a bystander either; she showed up in person at the Cockroach Janta Party's rally near Jantar Mantar in the capital.
Not a turning point
Talking to Al Jazeera, she pushed back against the idea that Pradhan's resignation marks any real turning point, calling that narrative shortsighted. She was critical about the "tone" of his resignation letter, in which he had talked of the need to shield students' futures and keeping "anti-national forces" at bay. In Yashaswinee argued that the note came across as self-congratulatory rather than genuinely apologetic or accountable.

Line between family and politics
Yashaswinee was candid about steering clear of political conversations with her father, the former BJP MLA who lost Fatehpur Sadar to Samajwadi Party's Chandra Prakash in 2024. She pointed out that she doesn't even live at home, having spent the last three and a half years in India on her own.
"I choose not to participate in that sort of environment at all," she said, adding that she hasn't visited Fatehpur Sadar in years and deliberately keeps a wide gap between her father's political life and her own. It is because of this she could speak her mind without feeling like a hypocrite.
