India were undefeated entering the final, 10 successive wins, but failed to clear the final hurdle. It was Deja vu as Australia had beaten India in 2003 World Cup final too. Also, Australia have now denied India two ICC titles. Earlier this year, Australia beat India in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final.
