‘Told to kidnap elderly women, children’: Hamas militants' shocking confessions on video

In the video released by Israel, Hamas militants are heard saying that their handlers had promised a reward of $10,000 and an apartment to those who managed to kidnap a hostage

A video released by the Israel Securities Authority (ISA) on Monday (October 23) shows Hamas militants purportedly admitting to taking part in the attacks in southern Israel on October 7 and providing gory details about the horrible massacre.

According to an ANI report, the statements made by the militants were attached to the video clip that was provided by ISA Communications.

The Hamas militants are heard saying in the video that their handlers had promised a reward of $10,000 and an apartment to those who managed to kidnap a hostage and take them back to Gaza. They were allegedly also specifically instructed to kidnap children and elderly women.

One of the militants said that they were told to “cleanse the houses and abduct as many Israelis as possible”. He said that he shot a woman’s body that was lying on the floor, and his commander shouted at him not to waste bullets on a corpse. He also shot the victim’s dog when it came out of the house, he said.

Another militant said that they burned down two houses after following their commander’s orders. "We finished what we came to do and then burned down two houses," he said.

The militants also shared other morbid details of the horrible incidents of October 7 when they invaded southern Israel.

According to the ISA, the senior leaders of Hamas’ military wing did not join the attack but stayed back in safe houses in Gaza. They sent their foot soldiers to fight, die, or be arrested in Israel.

Settle all accounts with terrorists: ISA

A statement by the ISA said they were committed to eliminate all the terrorists involved in the massacre. "The Security Forces of the State of Israel will settle all accounts with all terrorists who participated in the massacre on 7/10," the statement said.

The unprecedented attacks by almost 2,500 Hamas militants resulted in the deaths of about 1,400 Israelis, mostly civilians. More than 200 civilians were taken to Gaza as hostages.
