Telangana CM Revanth Reddy ready to join BJP after LS polls: BRS leader KTR

The BRS leader has also alleged that the chief minister has sent funds to the tune of Rs. 2500 crore to Congress’s central command in Delhi for election campaign

Alluding to Telangana CM Revanth Reddy's referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as “Bade Bhai” (elder brother) and his praise of the Gujarat Model of development, BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Tuesday (March 26) claimed the Congress Chief Minister would join the BJP after the Lok Sabha elections.

Contrary to the critical stand that the central leadership of the Congress party takes against PM Modi, its Chief Minister in Telangana is making plans to defect to the BJP once the parliamentary elections are over, KTR said.

KTR made these claims while addressing BRS MPs, MLAs, MLCs, corporators and senior party leaders at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad. Revanth Reddy, he said, would be the first Congress leader from the state to switch his loyalty to the saffron party. He questioned the Congress chief minister’s silence on speculations of his joining the BJP.

Launching a frontal attack on CM Revanth Reddy, the BRS leaders also claimed that the Congress leader has sent Rs. 2,500 crore to Delhi to help his party contest the coming elections. “The Chief Minister sent a fund of Rs 2,500 crore to his party high command in Delhi towards election expenditure. Unfortunately, we have a Chief Minister who speaks like a pickpocket, but fails to provide an able administration to the people of the State,” Telangana Today quoted KTR as saying.

The BRS leader also alleged that the CM was raising the bogey of corruption under the BRS rule only to divert public attention from the rampant corruption in the backyard of his own government. He also debunked the allegation that BSR was working in tandem with the BJP. If it were the case indeed, then why its leader Kavitha has been arrested by the ED, he asked.
