Lok Sabha polls: Shashi Tharoor will win yet again, asserts actor Prakash Raj

Actor Prakash Raj is convinced that Congress candidate and writer Shashi Tharoor will be elected for a fourth consecutive term to the Lok Sabha from the Kerala capital Thiruvananthapuram.
"I find this (Thiruvananthapuram) constituency has received a lot from Shashi Tharoor. It is going to be his term again,” the veteran actor and film director told the media in the city.
Great representative
“I am here to just stand by him, not because he is a great friend of mine, but because he has given me…hope, happiness and joy that I have a voice with such a representative of the country," he said.
He described the Congress candidate in glowing terms, and said the Left should not have fielded a candidate against him.
Three-way battle
Tharoor is pitted against a Union minister, Rajeev Chandrashekhar of the BJP, and P Ravindran of the CPI, who won the seat in 2005.
Tharoor has held the Thiruvananthapuram seat since 2009.
All 20 Lok Sabha constituencies in Kerala will vote on April 26. Counting will be held nationally on June 4.
