INDIA alliance to form government, NDA will be voted out: Tejashwi Yadav
The RJD leader dismissed suggestions that the INDIA bloc meeting in Delhi was aimed at preventing allies from breaking apart in the event of the coalition falling short of a majority
The INDIA bloc will form the next government after the Lok Sabha election results are out while the Modi government is on its way, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav declared on Saturday (June 1).
The former Bihar deputy chief minister, who spearheaded the election campaign of the INDIA grouping in the state, expressed confidence that the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would be voted out.
"The INDIA coalition will form the government after results are out on June 4. The NDA will be voted out," he told the media in Patna while on his way to Delhi to attend an opposition meeting.
Exit polls
He also explained why his party too, like the Congress, would not take part in TV debates after exit polls on Saturday.
"You tell me who are the people conducting these exit polls and which one of these should we take seriously? The fact is, we have been on the ground, among people, and we have a first-hand sense of the public mood," Yadav said.
