Congress names 16 more LS candidates, fields Vikramaditya against Kangana
Former journalist Sucharita Mohanty will contest from Odisha's Puri seat against BJP's Sambit Patra and former Mumbai top cop Arup Patnaik, the BJD candidate.
The Congress on Saturday (April 13) announced a list of 16 more candidates for the Lok Sabha polls and fielded former Union minister Manish Tewari from the Chandigarh parliamentary constituency.
The party also fielded Vikramaditya Singh, Himachal Pradesh minister and son of former CM late Virbhadra Singh, against BJP's candidate and Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut from Mandi Lok Sabha seat.
Vikramaditya's mother and Himachal Congress chief Pratibha Singh is the incumbent MP from Mandi.
Tewari will contest the polls from Chandigarh as the joint candidate of Congress and AAP. Tewari is currently the MP from Anandpur Sahib in Punjab. This would be his third constituency change. He has previously been elected to Lok Sabha from the Ludhiana and Anandpur Sahib seats.
