After PM’s swipe, Rahul dares Modi to send ED, CBI to raid Adani, Ambani

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday (May 8) dared Prime Minister Narendra Modi to send investigating agencies like the CBI and the ED to raid industrialists Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani after the prime minister accused the former of striking a deal with the two industrialists.
In a video posted on his X handle, Rahul asked Modi if he was worried and had no other option but to name Adani and Ambani in public.
“Namaskar Modiji. Did you get worried? Normally you speak about Adani and Ambani in closed rooms. But for the first time you have addressed their names in public. And how did you know they give money in tempos? Is it your personal experience? Do one thing. Send CBI, ED to raid these industrialists and do a thorough probe,” Rahul said.
‘We will make crores of lakhpatis’
In the 46 second video, the Congress leader said that while the BJP has made 22 people crorepatis, the Congress will make crores of lakhpatis.
“I am telling the country again. We will return the same amount of money to the poor that the Narendra Modi has given to these industrialists. Through Mahalakshmi Yojana, Pehli Naukri Pakki Yojana, we will make crores of lakhpatis. These people (the BJP) made 22 crorepatis, but we will make crores of lakhpatis,” he said.
Why is Shehzada silent?: Modi
The Congress leader’s reaction came after Prime Minister Modi in a poll rally, earlier in the day, asked Rahul why he of late has been ‘silent’ on Adani and Ambani and if they have paid him for the same.
“What deal has been made?” Modi said while speaking at a rally in Telangana.
“You must have seen the shehzada of Congress has been chanting the name of Ambani and Adani for the past five years,” he said asking why Rahul has gone silent after the elections were announced.
“How many bags of black money did he get from them? What deal did you crack with Ambani and Adani that you stopped abusing them overnight after attacking them for over five years. This means that you have trunks full of chori ka maal,” he said, demanding an answer from the Congress leader.
In Rahul’s defence, his sister and Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said that her brother has been calling out the two industrialists in all his rallies and it is not the Congress but the BJP which helped waive ₹16 lakh crores of industrialists.
